Carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning in Mid Willamette Valley homes

Kevin and his son clean carpet, area rugs and upholstery in homes around Albany, Corvallis, Tangent and the rest of the valley. Every job finishes the same way — a True Rinse of clean water, with nothing added to it.

What we clean

Three things, usually one visit

Carpet, rugs and upholstery tend to sit in the same room, so they are quoted and cleaned together. Quotes are free and given in person, so the number you get is based on what is actually there.

Carpet

Truck-mounted hot water extraction, with a rotary extractor worked through open areas and traffic lanes for a deeper clean. Stairs, edges and the walkways that take the most wear get their own attention.

Area rugs

Large rugs are cleaned on site. They do not have to be rolled up and sent away, and your room is not left bare while they are gone. Tell Kevin what the rug is when he comes out to quote.

Upholstery

Sofas, chairs and the one seat everybody in the house uses. The same method with smaller tools, and the same finish — the last pass is clean water with no product in it.

How it is done

A rotary head, then clean water

The equipment is truck-mounted, so the machinery stays outside and the hoses come in. Open floor and high-traffic areas are gone over with a rotary extractor, which works the carpet from more than one direction and pulls out more of what is down in the pile.

The tools run on teflon glides. They help the machine retrieve more water, so the carpet is left drier, and they lower the risk of marking floors, baseboards and furnishings on the way past.

Then the True Rinse. The final pass is clean water with nothing added to it. Finishing with detergent still in the line is like running your clothes through the washer, stopping it after the wash cycle, and putting them straight in the dryer. Rinsing it out means less residue in the pile, so the carpet is not stiff or crunchy and has less in it to attract the next lot of soil. That tends to mean longer between cleans.

Whatever is used to clean your carpet is the thing your family, and the dog, lie down on afterwards. The cleaning agents here are chosen to be gentler than conventional ones, and the True Rinse takes most of what was used back out again instead of leaving it in the carpet to dry.

Some spots will not move without a stronger product. When that happens we ask first, every time, and we say what it is for. If you would rather we did not, we do not. If you say yes, that area gets several extra True Rinse passes afterwards to rinse the product back out.

This is not a marketing position. It came out of what happened at home. Read our story.

Common questions

Before you book

Do large area rugs have to leave the house?

No. Large area rugs can be cleaned on site, in the room they live in. Tell Kevin what the rug is when he comes out to quote, so he can plan the job around it.

How wet is the carpet when you leave?

Damp, rather than soaked. The tools run on teflon glides, which help the machine pull more water back out of the pile and lower the risk of marking floors, baseboards and furnishings. How long the rest takes depends on the carpet, what is under it and the day, so we would rather tell you on the job than promise a number here.

What happens if a spot needs something stronger?

Some spots will not move without a stronger product. We ask you before we use one, every time. If you say yes, that area then gets several extra True Rinse passes to take the product back out again.

Can you clean the carpet, the rugs and the sofa in one visit?

Yes. Carpet, area rugs and upholstery are usually cleaned in the same visit. Mention everything you would like looked at when you call, and it is all covered in the quote.
